Just played the driving stage with the f* airplane and I nearly rage quitted because of the clunky controls and the f* up physics. I was 15 when this came out and bought it on day one because I was obsessed with Matrix. The player will be allowed to feel like the Chosen One and to control himself in the place of the main character Neo.

Notes: Widescreen Patch does not want to work with Lutris on Linux, so i had to use my Windows 10 installation since I didn't want to debug and patch wine for playing this. The Matrix Path of Neo - the second game released under the license of the famous film franchise.
MATRIX PATH OF NEO PC 1920X1080 PRO
Tried it with XBO, PS5 and Switch Pro Controllers and even my PS2 Controller via USB adapter. You will either walk forward or backward all the time without any input. Don't use a controller!!! It doesn't work. Started the game via MatrixOptions.exe (this seems to be important) Applied Widescreen Patch (not the one linked here, the one from github) Copied "fixed EXE" from a certain website to folder Convert Disc 4 to ISO with iat on Linux On PS2, especially more than either PC or Xbox, they're utterly atrocious a shame, because they run in true widescreen, which the Xbox does not.Worked flawlessly on Windows 10 with my 3840x1080 screen :-) It's probably a low blow to say it looks like a phenomenal Dreamcast game, but the graphics definitely aren't up to par for what one would expect from both a current-gen title and especially a Matrix title.

The jaggies are out in full force as textures have a lot of aliasing. For some reason, Morpheus' bald head looks like he has a black line running along half of it in certain points. Still shots have looked great, but in motion, it's a huge mess. Hair textures look pasted on, as do faces. What's not so good about the presentation are the graphics. The sound effects are very good and immerse players in the universe - from the gunfire to the clicking and whirring noises that we all know from the film - they all contribute to the overall experience in a good way.

In the game's defense, however, the presentation feels exceptionally real and authentic down to the code vision that displays when the game is paused. If you die, then you get to skip them, but that's like penalizing players for being good. For starters, it's impossible to skip through them- the first time, it's okay, but if you're going back to a saved level and starting from the beginning, it's exceptionally annoying. The game utilizes re-edited cutscenes from the film to keep the action going, although they get in the way more than they help. There's little need for plot details, as it is safe to assume that virtually all of GameSpy's readership has seen these movies.
MATRIX PATH OF NEO PC 1920X1080 UPDATE
Game update (patch) to The Matrix: Path of Neo, a(n) action game, Patch 1 EU, added on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Path of Neo puts players squarely in the shoes of Keanu Reeves' Neo, the hero of the films. The Matrix: Path of Neo - game update Patch 1 EU - Download. After playing the final retail version of this game and what they've done in those three months, I'd really like a copy of that beta again. After playing a beta version of Path of Neo in Austin last August, I was convinced that this game had the potential to be a conglomeration of elements of great games, from Max Payne (whose Bullet Time was influenced by this film series - how self-reflexive!) to God of War (a hit counter would have sealed the deal) thus making it at least a solid game. And in steps Neo to prove once again that the Matrix series can't deliver on its potential. The hype surrounding the trilogy has dissipated a bit. And most importantly, it failed to deliver on the one thing that gamers wanted the most: the ability to play as Neo. So awful that Shiny Entertainment refused to comment on it for nearly a year.
Buggy, mediocre, and bloated with all of the excitement and zeitgeist of the Matrix hype. As if that wasn't enough, The Matrix Online came out and hemorrhaged so much money out of Sega that they dumped it onto Sony Online Entertainment. Then, Revolutions came out and gave most of the movie/gaming populace their final verdict on the entire trilogy, which was one mainly of dismissal and disappointment. Then, the eagerly anticipated Enter the Matrix came out and immediately flooded the used section of game stores across America. Whatever happened between the first Matrix film and virtually everything that followed remains a mystery, but at least one thing is apparent: the Brothers Wachowski seem to have an inverted Midas touch.
